Over the weekend, several patrons at a hip hop festival in Sacramento, California, were injured as a result of a propane tank explosion.

According to CBS Sacramento, the incident occurred at the 102.5 LIVE event organized by KSFM and held at Discovery Park. The explosion occurred in the food court area, which is often a densely populated place at music festivals.

As a result of the explosion multiple people suffered from burn injuries, while others were the victims of a stampede that erupted after the blast. Although no fatalities were reported due to the explosion, a 31 year old man died from being assaulted in the food court.

The blast did not cancel the festival, as the event carried on with acts like Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, Kehlani, the Internet and Desiigner all performing. E-40 was the main headliner on the day of the incident.

The station released a statement via Facebook: “We are deeply saddened by the senseless tragedy that took place in line at a food stand yesterday. We want to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time. Thank you for your patience.”
