Techno comes in a variety of forms, but who are we kidding, we like it fairly unadulterated and this week's top ten techno chart is in fact just that. I've included many artists that pride themselves with that philosophy, and you may be unfamiliar with a few of them such as Antialias, AndReew, and of course my top techno track of the week from German producer, Thomas Hoffknecht. As the Techno genre continues to evolve, there is so much music to dig through. These are the major highlights that have recently surfaced.

1. '146' - THOMAS HOFFKNECHT [MICRO.FON]

My top techno track of the week is a stomping one called '146' and it comes from Thomas Hoffknecht, a German bloke from Hamburg who's put together an expertly produced four track EP entitled 14X.

2. 'POSEIDON (SOLEE REMIX)' - SEBASTIEN LEGER [PARQUET RECORDINGS]

Parquet Recordings head honcho, Solee fell head over heels for Sebastien Leger's newest cut 'Poseidon', so he decided to add his own melodious touch and the result is astoundingly beautiful.

3. 'DOGMA 2' - KOLSCH & MICHAEL MAYER [IPSO]

'Dogma 2' has been a secret weapon in Kolsch's scorching DJ sets since late last Summer as I've personally witnessed him hammering it first at the Space Terrace in Ibiza last September and then most recently at Get Lost in Miami.

4. 'K354 UNFRIENDED' - DUBSPEEKA [DRUMCODE]

Without a doubt, UK techno producer Dubspeeka is one of the fastest rising underground stars around at the moment and he's on pace to be quite a big deal. His tunes sound like nothing else in the scene and he has a unique knack for creating ethereal melodies within a dark space.

5. 'FLIGHT MODE' - ABELL [CONSTANT CIRCLES]

Forward thinking underground label Constant Circles issues their 9th release and the guest of honor is French electronic music producer, Abell.

6. 'RUNNING (SHED REMIX)' - MODERAT [MONKEYTOWN RECORDS]

The second single from Moderat's absolutely amazing new album is 'Running' and they've given German techno producer, Shed the opportunity to morph it into his own creation. I have to say that Shed has done quite a spectacular job of maintaining the feel of the original while adding some elements of his own.

7. 'OJAK' - TREVINO [17 STEPS]

Trevino's remarkably brilliant 'Ojak' features a prominent bass-line that is remarkably infectious.

8. 'TECHNO TRANCE 2016' - STEVE MULDER VS. D - SHAKE [ORANGE RECORDINGS]

All the way back in 1990, a Dutch producer who went by the name of D-Shake ruled the techno underground with a string of high energy techno singles including this particular one entitled 'Techno Trance', which Steve Mulder has given a proper 26 year update!

9. 'CONNECT' - ANDREEW [SCI+TEC]

Dubfire's Sci + Tec imprint continues their spot on A&R skills as they enlist a Hungarian producer by the name of AndReew who's produced a fire hot four tracker that features this dancefloor beast.

10. 'SEAS OF THOUGHT' - ANTIALIAS [STEYOYOKE BLACK]

The Steyoyoke imprint continues their domination in the field of their self described ethereal techno genre with their latest issue on their Black series offshoot from German producer, Antialias.
