A fantastical display of melody reveals more of what The Avalanches have in store

When The Avalanches announced their first album in 16 years, long-time fans were buzzing with excitement. Now the anticipation to hear new material has been met with 'Colours', a breezy and whimsical track that embodies the bands essence as one of the foremost genre-defying acts of all-time.

The band's first single was delivered with 'Frankie Sinatra' and their follow up, 'Colours', is just what fans have been waiting for. Featuring Jonathan Donahue of Mercury Rev on vocals, who also shares songwriting credits with The Avalanches' Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi, the track is psychedelic and ethereal music at it's best.

Wildflower, the follow up to the influential band's 2000 debut, Since I Left You, is like The Beach Boys' Smile re-imagined in the Daisy Age: a mind-bending cartoon road movie that's best viewed with closed eyes and an open mind.

Listen to 'Colours' and be sure to pre-order Wildflower here, set to be released July 8th via Astralwerks. View the complete tracklist below.
