A pair of the biggest festivals in Sweden have recently wrapped up, but the music is being overshadowed by negativity as over 40 cases of rape and sexual assault have been reported, according to Associated Press.

At Sweden's biggest and most popular music festival, Bravalla, where artists like Hardwell, Afrojack, and Mumford & Sons performed, police say there were 5 alleged cases of rape and 12 sexual assaults. At a separate festival, Putte I Parken, which is free, police say their were 35 cases of alleged sexual assault, with victims ranging between the ages of 12 and 20.

Authorities are saying that “the description of the perpetrators is diverse, with the one common denominator being that these are all young men.” At Putte I Parken, police are on the hunt for seven males in connection to the sexual assault cases.

Zara Larsson, who has collaborated with Tinie Tempah and  played at Bravalla, said: “Damn you people who shamelessly rape a girl in public. Damn you guys who make a girl feel unsafe when they go to a festival. I hate guys. Hate hate hate.”

Both festivals have yet to respond to this situation.
