“Shocked to learn that several of the festival’s participants took part in events which required hospitalization..." - DVBBS

The festival has released a statement in the wake of the scandal.

Following yesterday's shocking news that two girls were found unconscious in DVBBS' dressing room following their performance at Hungary's Balaton Sound music festival, new reports are coming in that reveal more information regarding this disturbing story.

According to Hungary’s 444, there may actually have been as many as 6 girls found in DVBBS' dressing room, with 3 of them being unconscious.

Festival staff came to the duo's dressing room following their performance to find 3 girls unconscious,  one of which was seriously ill. DVBBS were already on their way to Budapest at the time of the discovery. According to the staff who found the girls, there were three other girls present, who ran away before the ambulance or the authorities arrived on scene.

Festival health care director Windy Geza said that the three girls were sent to the hospital, but none of them required serious medical attention. It has also been confirmed that the girls would not have been allowed to enter the backstage area without artists being with them.

Following the incident, four men, including the duo of DVBBS, were arrested at Liszt Ferenc International Airport on drug related charges after the men were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Three of the four men tested positive following a drug test and the fourth man was held as a witness. All men were interrogated at the airport, but posted bail and were later released.

It was previously reported that the arrests made at the airport were made in connection with the incident involving the unconscious girls, according to the Somogy County Police. This has been denied by DVBBS and their Hungarian lawyer, Gábor Papp, as no charges of sexual assault have been filed. They released a statement via Index, which is translated below:

“Shocked to learn that several of the festival’s participants took part in events which required hospitalization. The police have confirmed that there is no relation between us and the above incident. Of course we will remain available for marijuana possession proceedings to clear up the allegations. We wish a quick recovery to all of the ill victims.” – DVBBS

The parents of the girls who were involved in the incident have filed police reports with hopes of getting more answers regarding the situation. Some of the girls have been questioned by the police and the press, but they don't seem to remember much about what might have occurred.

We will have more information on this developing story as it surfaces.
