Sweet summer air. Huge, open fields. Three stages. Island Yoga. Detroit DJs.

...Even all of that doesn’t do Charivari Detroit justice. This past weekend one of the best festivals in the city took place. If there is one thing that Detroit has wanted, needed really, it's a festival that actually serves as a platform for Detroit artists! And Charivari was just that, and for the third year in the row.

It has quickly become the place to be to catch everyone who is anyone in the city. And it is the festival all “up-and-coming” artists hope to play at in the future.

This year’s line up included Juan Atkins, DJ Godfather, ATAXIA, Mike Huckaby, Eddie Fowlkes, Asher Perkins, Detroit Techno Militia, and Terrence Parker to name a few.

The location was perfect - Belle Isle, right in the heart of Detroit. The music embodied the vibes and feelings of the city.

With it’s third year under it’s belt, Charivari will definitely be back next year with a vengence. So even if you missed it this year, mark your calendars, set an alarm, do whatever you need to do to make sure you are in Detroit at the end of next summer.

Come visit the birthplace of Techno… And let yourself go!
