Updates in regards to the upcoming Gorillaz album have been relatively sparse up to this point, but a new revelation ought to pique the interest of the group's fan base. Key hip-hop figures De La Soul and Snoop Dogg are confirmed to be among those featured on the effort.

In an interview with The Guardian, De La Soul's Pos discussed working with Snoop Dogg and Gorillaz cofounder Damon Albarn on his own group's upcoming album, And the Anonymous Nobody. He mentioned:

Snoop was also performing on the record when we were over there. He pulled us to the side and said: “Hey man, we’ve never worked together, can we get this going?” Usually the lawyers will say: “You can pay this artist or maybe we can swap?” and then it goes from there.

Pos went on to say that the new Gorillaz album "sounds amazing," and that he'd already gone into the studio to make his contribution. As of this writing, however, no title, release date or tracklist has been revealed for the effort.
