It's Bank Holiday in London this weekend and that's when alllllll the good stuff happens. Went to my very first English festival this weekend four years ago (yes, okay, late bloomer) and so it remains very important that I continue to celebrate that anniversary with the utmost aplomb. Aplomb I tell you!! Tomorrow is South West Four (SW4), which is but a 20-minute excitable sprint from my home... Just check out the swelter on the RAM takeover stage:
Rene LaVice | Culture Shock | Friction | Delta Heavy | Roni Size | Camo & Krooked | Wilkinson | Sub Focus | Noisia | Netsky
Then Flux, Knife Party and Andy someone on the main stage! I am going to lose my shit. Then two days to recover! Because, well, these days me and my ankles need it.
"Louder" - Teddy Killerz and Icicle ft. DJ Craze [RAM Records]
"Bring It Back (Tantrum Desire Remix)" - Friction ft. Stylo G [Elevate Audio]
How does one improve on audio perfection? You wheel Tantrum Desire out, apparently! Breathing fresh air into something that was already pretty fresh and ridiculously thorough!
"Switch Up" - Legion & Logam [Program]
Exceptional chops on this one from RAM's sister label - no wonder it's been doing the rounds!
"Dirty Money" - Pythius and State of Mind [Blackout Music NL]
"Angels Sing" - Ownglow [Hospital Records]
My boy (yeah y'are!) Ownglow has gone and done the damn ting! Only just signed to Hospital and releasing his first EP with them... No biggie. So bloody proud and stoked.
"Blaffer" - Maztek ft. June Miller [Eatbrain]
"Clap Your Hands" - Frankee [RAM Records]
Oh heyyyy Frankwhizzle my dizzle, where ya' been? Squirreling away on mighty tunes by the looks - let you off this time...
"Torn Apart (Joe Ford Remix)" - Enter Shikari
Finally got hold of a link for this... Straddling the old alternative rock/drum and bass boundaries with class!
"Stompin' (Mob Tactics Remix)" - Maztek [Eatbrain]
"Still Standing (Lenzman Remix)" - Children Of Zeus feat. DRS [The North Quarter]
DRS could make an album full of toilet sounds seem beautiful and uplifting... Luckily, in this case, that is not what he has to work with!
