We figured the release of ZHU's debut album, GENERATIONWHY, would mean that we wouldn't hear from him for a while - boy are we happy we were wrong. The formerly anonymous Los Angeles DJ/producer/instrumentalist has released a music video for "Palm of My Hand," which was arguably the strongest track from the effort.

The video adopts a black-and-white comic book art style to portray a surrealistic film noir tale. Color creeps its way into the frame at one point, and the suggested forms all twist into a psychedelic dreamscape.

ZHU began quite a few of his live sets with "Palm of My Hand" in 2015, including his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Perhaps he did so because the song's seamless blend of instrumentals and production elements seems to perfectly sums up his distinctive style.

In addition, ZHU has released "In the Morning" Remixes, which features reimaginings of the track by Kaskade, MSTRKRFT, Tom Glass and Cooperated Souls, among others. The six-track remix package is available for download and stream.
