Meet Snap Inc's new Spectacles

You thought you knew Snapchat didn't you? Well they are morphing and changing in ways we we can't even believe. They have just become a hardware company as well, Snap Inc's has just dropped the Spectacles.

The Spectacles, are a funky pair of sunglasses (kind of resembling some our favorite brands illesteva & Retrosuperfuture) with a twist. The glasses are sporting dual cameras that can record up to 10 seconds of video footage and upload it right to the app. You simply tap the button by the hinge and it's go time but be warned you are not in stealth mode because these guys are flashing while you film. We are sure some hacker type will kill this feature and create a stealth mode.

Things are getting crazy, we can only imagine the twisted shit that is going to start going down with this piece of tech. We will stop there.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the unisex style of glasses will be available later this fall, will cost $130, are tricked out with a 115-degree-angle lens, and come in three colors: teal, black, and coral.

As if sell the fashion community on the new product's credibility, the WSJ article announcing the news ran with images of Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel wearing Spectacles, shot by iconic designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld.

Don't get too excited these are probably going to be hard to get with a limited distribution, but it's exciting to see the direction they are taking. God knows what Instagram is going to fire back with, this could get REALLY interesting.

“We’re going to take a slow approach to rolling them out,” Spiegel told WSJ. “It’s about us figuring out if it fits into people’s lives and seeing how they like it.”
