Potent drum and bass from the big boys, the up-and-comers and the wild cards across the board this week!

Halloween Together.jpg

Halloween is fast approaching, and it's a very momentous event in my diary as it's me and the best mate's raveaversary. Highly romantic as occasions go.

We have spent the last three years in the world's best venue - the O2 Academy, Brixton - partaking in the damaging of one's body to a scorching lineup. This year is no different, and come the October 28th this sexy, sloped venue will house Together Halloween.  Not only is High Contrast going to be there for a dabble but the likes of Camo & Krooked and Pendulum will join him. Tarannnnnn-tulllla.

You can still buy tickets, so if you don't want your Halloween plans to involve cowering behind your couch from neighborhood children then I can heartily recommend a High Contrast sandwich.

If you can't make it, then there's this, or the playlist below with which you can console yourself.

"When It All Goes Wrong" - Chase & Status ft. Tom Grennan [MTA Records]

Oh Chase & Status. You're great.

"The Day Is My Enemy (Bad Company UK Remix)" - The Prodigy [RAM Records]

Not sure if you've heard the news... It's nothing big really... Only that the boys of Bad Company are now officially signed to RAMalam!

"Heavy Load" - Misanthrop [Neosignal]

Misanthrop is co-boss dude of Neosignal but has waited until now to drop his debut solo EP. There's been a tsunami of buzz since it spanked us all at the very end of September and it's a heavy load alright. Choppy and hard hitting - you can literally hear the technique behind it.

"Missing You" - LSB ft. DRS & Tyler Daly [Soul:R]

I know you're supposed to live without regrets but mine is definitely missing DRS at Hospitality in the Park. In hindsight, the title seems fitting.

“Dance” - Dossa & Locuzzed [Viper Recordings]

What's a girl to do when faced with a choice between "Dance" and "Shag?!" I trust I've made my position clear.

"Sequencer" - Fourward [Shogun Audio]

More surprising than eating skittles in the dark... Perhaps that's a bad analogy. This one's got that extra quirk, a bit of extra somethin' somethin'.

"Take It In" - Feint ft. Koven [Liquicity]

Liquicity are making their way back to Electric Brixton this December, and they've onboarded Feint and Koven to boot! "Take It In" features on the new compilation, Alchemy 2 and - hello - Koven. Delicious as always.

Temptation" - A-Sides ft. Makoto [Eastside Records]

Sometimes you just need someone (thanks James) to wave it in front of your face - in this particular sentence I am referring to a tune. Rude. A-Sides hooks up with Japanese producer Makoto to deliver something brilliant.

"Too Bad (Remix)" - Taxman [Playaz]

Winding and hard-hitting bass with a reggae roast flavor. Taxman trivia time: This track was made the same day that Hype signed Taxman to Playaz...also he is Original Sin's brother. Let's see if that one comes up at the pub quiz.

"Lost On My Own" - T & Sugah x Zazu [Liquicity]

T & Sugah! There you are. We were excited when they played London around about this time last year - and I'm happy to say, the hype has not petered away. Always uplifting, always good.

Be greedy! Drink it alllllll in at once...
