Korg has released an iOS version of their popular wave sequence synthesizer called the iWAVESTATION.

The original instrument was famous for its use of vector synthesis, "a system that creates sound by cross-fading between four sources." The new, digital format of the instrument still playfully gives a nod to the hardware version and Korg promises that this app is a "faithful" reproduction.

The app features 1,500 sounds, 700 waveforms and 55 effects. It also includes a random effect, and the presets themselves cover the Waveform sequences.

The app is out now for $19.99. For those interested, purchase it here, via the iTunes app store.
