Modeselektor Announce New Album And Hit The States For The Id Festival

Berlin electronic duo Modeselektor is releasing they’re third full-length album, Monkeytown, on October 4th via their own Monkeytown records. The bass heavy, glitch and grime duo hails as BPitch Control alumni, but they’re most notoriously known for their collaboration with Radiohead front man Thom York— the indie idol has frequently listed them as a favored group. The album features collaborations with Thom Yorke, Busdriver, PVT, Anti Pop Consortium and others. For Monkeytown, they return to their dancefloor roots with music for the club set. We anticipate “club ” means melt-your-face-off-underground- sweat lodge onslaught.

Here's a little teaser video the boys made:

For fans of Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons label, here are a few songs from the London trio Dark Sky. The bass tune “Reflex” was one of Modeselektor's favorites of this year. If you're not familiar, Dark Sky has released a number of vinyls on some of the Europe’s most progressive electronic music labels including Blunted Robots. On July 29th, they will release a new 4-track EP via Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons label.
