Ever wonder what the musician's perspective is like as they perform in front of thousands of people while a gaggle of disconcerting strangeness in the audiences gaze up at you? I've thought about it, which is why The Kopeikin Gallery's latest exhibition "Destroyed" caught my attention. It features the photography of Moby and includes exclusive, never before seen photos taken by the man himself while on tour this past summer in support of his latest album Destroyed. You'll never recreate that feeling, but this exhibition sounds like it'll give you a glimpse into things.
The opening is on Saturday, September 10, 2011 with a reception and book signing from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. And will be on display through October 22, 2011. Sweet.
Touring is all contrasts and strangeness, and thats what Im trying to convey in these pictures. -Moby.
If you’re not able to make the signing on the 10th, Moby will be signing copies on Wednesday, September 14th at 7:00 PM at Book Soup—my favorite Los Angeles bookstore. Really, it’s that good.
