LA’s Pop Tart gallery recently hosted the launch party for the L.I.T.E Clothing and online store. The event was a dancer’s soiree, with live dance performances, DJs and open bar by Black Star Beer. L.I.T.E is the dance-inspired label by designers Tovaris Wilson and Steven Trosti, a name which represents “life in the 8’s,” a dance and choreography term reflecting the idea that every “phrase” or turning point in their life is inspired by art, music, dance and fashion.

This is a turning point for celebrity choreographer Tovaris Wilson, well-known in the dance community, most notably he has choreographed for Janet Jackson and pop princess Britney Spears, as well as for the 2006 Pussycat Doll Tour; current projects include working on shows So You Think You Can Dance. and America’s Got Talent! Australia native Steven Trosti brings his fashion savvy to the label. An alum of Melbourne’s School of Fashion, he launched his first label “Candy Perfumeboy” after moving to Los Angeles, and has worked as a stylist both in LA and Japan.
