Check Out The Free Mix Tape By MiM0SA

MiM0SA (aka Tigran), the San Francisco Bay Area native turned Los Angeles transplant likes to screw around and bend genres (dubstep, hip-hop, 2-step, moombahton, dub and downtempo) rather than be tied down to any one sound. Ah… the advantages of being cheerfully detached from a world consumed with grouping layers, styles, textures and grooves. As MiM0SA puts it:

My vision was to steer away from aggressive tones, but at the same time try to find different avenues to get the same crowd response that a big bass drop would get.

It definitely helps that kid has the fortune of talent and an ear to match.

Crowds are quickly catching on to what he’s doing too. This summer saw him spread his globetrotting wings bouncing around the festival circut—including his headlining slot at Lightning in a Bottle, to performances at Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Shambala Festival, Red Rocks, Electric Zoo, Summer Camp and Burning Man. We’ve yet to catch a MiM0SA live but we hear it’s like a rush of earth quaking bottom end. He’s touring now and won’t be off the road until December, see dates below.

It’s all in support of his debut full length Sanctuary, which will be released October 25 via False Idol Musik. Until then, please enjoy MiMOSA's September 2011 mix.
