Gramatik has had a great summer. At least career wise—no idea what his personal life is like? I would imagine it’s pretty damn swell, tho. Between spending time on the streets of New York City to playing in front of 10,000 people with Pretty Lights in the lush mountains of Red Rocks in August...I can’t image that there’s a whole lot this chap can complain about.
Like Gramatik, as a youngin I loved this song—and Queen in general. “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “We Are The Champions”—so many classics and Freddie Mercury’s flamboyant stage presence (as seen here and here and here) and vocals are, to this day, hard to top. David Bowie summed it up quiet nicely…
Of all the more theatrical rock performers, Freddie took it further than the rest... he took it over the edge. And of course, I always admired a man who wears tights. I only saw him in concert once and as they say, he was definitely a man who could hold an audience in the palm of his hand.
“Princes Of The Glitch Universe” is pretty captivating too. The video is a nice recap of Gramatik crazy US summer tour.
I remember having a plastic sword as a kid, jumping up and down my room, pretending Im a Highlander and Im chopping peoples heads off while listening to Princes Of The Universe by Queen. Good fucking times. Remix is finally here. -Gramatik
