Maison Kitsuné Goes Brokeback Mountain For Their Fall Winter 2011 Collection

The Maison Kitsuné fall/winter 2011 collection gives a nod “Brokeback Mountain” by Ang Lee and ‘60s Americana. Which roughly translates to designer Masaya Kuroki delivering some heavier pieces, a worker style jacket, a cotton check shirt, a woolen hunter jacket, brushed cotton chino, a 6ply shawl collar cardigan, a lambs wool blanket. Of course this is Kitsuné, so the outdoor style is delivered with a modern, elegant and French twist. While the men’s line takes the hunter gatherer approach, the female side draws inspiration for the silhouette and design approach à  la the ‘60s New York Madison Avenue men’s sartorial style. It’s the first time the women’s collection explores a different universe than the guys.
