The North West London producers, remixers, DJs, artists—whatever you wanna call them—Dan Stephens and Joe Ray (that’s Nero to you and I) have many reasons to be cheerful. 2010 found Nero walking away with Beatport Award for Best Dubstep Act and Best Dubstep track for “Act Like you Know,” and receiving nominations for BBC’s Sound of 2011, XFM’s Sound of 2011, and Music Week’s Top 15. Then there’s the fact that “Guilt” charted at number eight and “Me and You” at number 15 and was the most played record on Radio 1 for three weeks in a row. Basically their name has been plastered all over the UK charts and their new album and single “Promises” are currently ruling the land. Shit, Welcome Reality is quickly approaching Gold. And did you hear about “Dubstep Symphony,” a specially commissioned piece they performed with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra this past June? They have a lot of recent notches, but this collaboration is pretty damn amazing—watch the whole performance below.

If you weren’t able to catch them this summer the duo are back soon with stops at NYC's Webster Hall and Monster Massive in Los Angeles. See full list below. Word has it their live will be a mix of keyboards, touch screen lemurs and laptops perched on a custom built booth complete with ghetto blasters, retro TVs, old amps and an arcade machine centre piece. Plus they’ll be bringing along guest performer Alana on vocals.

In addition, Nero revealed “Welcome Reality—The Game.” It’s the first time a game has been combined with an album sampler and integrated into Facebook to put you (aka the fan) in the game. It’s inspired by the arcade game featured in the video for the single “Me & You.” Check out their Facebook page for more on that.
