The Future Seen Through Red And Blue: Kraftwerk Guest Edits Wallpaper Magazine In 3D

Avatar. Tron Legacy. Kraftwerk. These three names will go down in history as hallmarks of the 3D era, signaling the integration of cyberspace and the human visual field into a singular experience. The latter, German-based pioneers of modern electronic music, will be remembered for their stint as the fifth annual guest editors for Wallpaper, which brought a stunning 3D visual and audio experience to the October 2011 issue of the travel, design, fashion, entertainment, and media-focused magazine. In addition, the issue also commemorated the release of the Wallpaper Ipad edition, taking the Kraftwerk 3D experience from the static page to the interactive, digital tablet space.

Cross-media collaborations like these excite us here at Magnetic. They remind us that to be part of the fast-paced, ever-changing, electronically evolving culture, a capsule that transports your consciousness into a 10-foot-tall blue alien or a machine that digitally reassembles you onto a computerized grid are unnecessary. All you need is a pair of 3D glasses.
