It’s safe to admit, I’ve been living under a rock, a massive rock. Searching through the music blog D.M.L FM, I discovered Tomorrowland. Yes, I know, it’s depressing. Here in the States the current music festivals my peers obsess over is Coachella, EDC, Rock the Bells, Nocturnal, Monster Massive, Warped Tour, yet the following music festivals don’t compare to Tomorrowland. Just the idea alone of having 180,000 human bodies gather together in order to experience 250 artist in the duration of a weekend, is epic. Watching the 13-minute trailer of the event will leave you speechless. Artist from Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Nervo, David Guetta, Kaskade, Avicii, Alesso, Laidback Luke, and the list goes on, performed in front of massive crowds that can demolish an American crowd any day. The decorations, the props, the fireworks, were beyond beautiful, the various types of nationalities that attended was incredible, watching people hold up their flag with pride while raging in a crowd of thousands. I spotted an American flag in the trailer, which is exciting knowing that someone from the States represented, despite our issues as a country. To be quite honest, I’m already planning to save money in order to attend the event in 2012, which already has dates. July 27, 28, and 29 will be the weekend this epic music festival takes place again in Belgium. Despite the fact, I’ve never traveled outside the country nor spent thousands on a music festival, it’ll be worth the months of not catering to my shopping addiction. The trailer is incredible; it’s the perfect way to have people amped for 2012 because I am.
