Showstudio x Lady Gaga: Exploring Fame, Iconicism And Life In An Evolving Metropolis



When it comes to fashion photography/films Nick Knight (SHOWstudio) is one of the kings. He collaborates with designers like Yohji Yamamoto, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen. Does advertising campaigns for clients like Christian Dior, Lancôme, Swarovski, Levi Strauss, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent. Shoots editorial for books like W, British Vogue, Paris Vogue, Dazed & Confused, Another, Another Man and i-D. Has his work shown international at place like the Victoria & Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery, The Photographers Gallery and Hayward Gallery. And has people like Lady Gaga asking him to create a number of films she can use as part of her on-stage performance and as interludes in her show.

The four films Nick Knight, together with London based filmmaker Ruth Hogben (a frequent collaborator with Knight), explore notions of fame, iconicism and life in an evolving metropolis. It was all done as part of Lady Gaga's Monster Ball world tour.
