deadmau5: First Canadian Artist to Headline Toronto’s Rogers Centre

There seems to be a lot of history making in the EDM as of late. Mafia selling out Madison Square Garden and Tiesto’s College Tour immediately come to mind. Now this… deadmau5 is once again making history on November 5th as he will become the first Canadian artist, as well as the first electronic artist, to have a headlining concert at the Rogers Centre. The building has hosted some pretty huge artists over the years (U2, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay) but never a Canuck. Not sure what’s up with that, but dope for Joel Zimmerman that he’s the one. Zimmerman is also getting ready to launch a live streaming website (with partners Influxis) and it’s going to kick off at the tour finale at the Rogers Centre when he shares the first 25 minutes of the show as a free live stream. The stream will also take place in tandem with exclusive media partner, YouTube, with both airing the portion of the performance at 12 midnight EST
