“Throw your L’s in the air,” was screamed by the host of Haze Nightclub in Las Vegas on October 29th and the crowd did exactly that for the man who was dressed as The Punisher for Halloween weekend.
Laidback Luke delivered a powerful set to the attendees on this night. The event was completely sold out with a line that stretched out of the club, out of the Aria hotel, then onto the street outside. Everyone in Vegas was at this event and Luke made his presence known.
Coming off just playing at Hard Halloween earlier that day, Luke came on at 1:30 AM and everyone was ready to rage. Girls were dancing on tables, off railings, on anything they could dance on and guys were fist pumping and jumping around like a workout video.
The very technical mastermind, Laidback Luke, played and mixed every genre from moombahton to dubstep while mixing in some of his favorites. Samples of Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex and Chuckie were among some of the songs heard that night but most attention was brought on his own original songs like “Natural Disaster.”
Attendees on the dancefloor got to experience the capabilities of Haze firsthand. Other than a giant LED wall and lights everywhere, Haze surprised everyone when bubbles fell from the ceiling. To top of the special effects a 10-foot robot moved around the dancefloor shooting laser beams at anything in its way.
The night didn’t want to end but it had to end some time for Luke. Closing in on a 2-hour set, Laidback dropped the final song of the night “Turbulence” which left the club in chaos. The club remained open an additional hour after Luke left the building, simply because no one wanted it to end.
Make sure to catch Laidback Luke touring across the world. Working more days than he takes off.
