Sunday Best Recordings Turning The Cure’s 2011 Bestival Show Into A Release

We do love us some Cure over here at Magnetic and couldn’t be happier about this announcement. Sunday Best (Rob Da Bank’s imprint) is releasing The Cure’s set from Bestival Live 2011 on December 6th. The band played a two and a half hour set to 50,000 people this year and racked up some pretty stellar reviews the day after. The double album will be split over two CDs and will also be available as a digital download. There will be thirty-two Cure classics in all, including “The Lovecats,”“The Caterpillar,”“Close To Me,”“Friday I’m In Love,”“Lullaby,” “The Hungry Ghost,”“The End Of The World,”“Just Like Heaven,”“Grinding Halt,”“Jumping Someone Else's Train” and “Boys Don’t Cry.” This’ll definitely be a sweet addition to my Cure collection.

Love the fact that all profits from the sale of this album will go to the independent charitable organization, Isle of Wight Youth Trust. The group offers counseling, advice, information and support services to folks 25 and under on the Isle of Wight (the home of Bestival) and, in some cases, their parents or careers.
