We here at Magnetic have a real affection for all things Anders Trentemøller. It’s bordering on creepy—in a good way tho. If you didn’t catch our interview with the man you can peep it here. If you ask us, whatever the guy gets his hands on just seems to turn to gold. Specially when it comes to melding the sensibilities of indie rock and electronic music—he does it better than any other two acts attempting the trendy fusion today. If you caught his live show while he toured the States you know I speak the truth. And if you missed it, well, I’m very sorry to hear that. All hope isn’t lost, tho. The producer and his lauded band will make their late night television debut next week on Last Call with Carson Daly. Set your DVRs for Wednesday night Nov. 16th at 1:35am EST.
BTW, if you haven’t heard Reworked / Remixed you can pick it up now via Trentemøller's own label, In My Room. And from iTunes here. From start to finish it’s pretty damn stellar. It’s basically a collection of his favorite remixes and some of his own songs that other musicians have reworked. UNKLE, I Blame Coco, Depeche Mode, Modeselektor with Thom Yorke, Efterklang, Mew, Kasper Bjørke is a slice of what’s featured. The opening song on the album, "Sycamore Feeling (Marie Fisker Version)," has a brand new video featuring the Danish singer stoically sifting in and out of people's apartments and thoughts.
