Apparently there’s been a multi-city festival going on called Re:Mix Lab. The idea is to bring together art, music, fashion, technology, culture and design. All things we love here at Magnetic. It’s something Hyundai has been doing around the release of their new three-door coupe, the Veloster. Bummer that we’re just now hearing about these events, awesome that we caught on before the show was over. Tonight is the last stop on the tour and will include DJ sets by Yeasayer, French act College and DJ Neil Armstrong. We’re looking forward to peeping the three customized Velosters that’ll be on display.
The “Music” Veloster is a dream come true. At least for us here at Magnetic. The car features a Fender Stratocaster guitar and Vox stainless amp (in case you’re a rock fan), but what really has us giddy is the world-class DJ setup in the rear hatch featuring a Numark NS6 DJ controller, customized black and red 15” Macbook Pro with Serato, three JL Audio Amps and two iPad’s in a slideout hidden drawer with mixing software. You know, just your daily type of ride.
We’re going to totally geek out on the other two rides too. The “Technology” Veloster comes equipped with state-of-the-art devices from names like Apple, Samsung, LG and Panasonic. Think 3D experience a la a 40” 3D LCD TV, 3D Blu-Ray player and 3D camcorder—in case you wanna see yourself rendered in a new dimension.
The “Gaming” Veloster (with of course features green with black accents) has a custom body kit, carbon fiber trim and Sparco race seats. The rear hatch is equipped with a 40” TV that is connected to both Kinect and Xbox 360 (green and black, get it!), with a high-speed Internet for Xbox Live peeps. Plus additional consoles in case you have eight players standing around your car that wants get in on the action. It’s going down at 401 S. Main Street from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am. We’ll be there… perhaps we’ll see you there.
