DJ Avicii Announces "House For Hunger" North American Tour

The rising Swedish artist Tim Bergling (also known as Avicii) kicked off 2012 by playing a massive gig in New York. Now he’s preparing for his “House for Hunger” tour across North America, which will hit 26 cities within 27 days. Not only is this divine news for us here in American but Avicii, and his manager slash executive producer Arash “Ash” Pournouri, are coordinating the House for Hunger Tour in good spirits by donating one million dollars of the fees earned from the tour to the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, Feeding America. What does a mega donation like that provide? We’re told it’s going to provide about eight million meals to people in need.

Tim Bergling already has plenty to be proud of within his musical career, I mean “Le7els” ended up being one of the biggest tracks in the EDM scene in 2011, he received a Grammy nomination for the track “Sunshine” in which he co-produced with David Guetta, and now he’s allowing his music to do more than just make individuals dance, he’s using it towards a good cause. Avicii is exposing others to the hunger problem that continues to grow affecting millions of people. In addition, the tour gives a new generation the urge to want to help others less fortunate. The House for Hunger tour will kick off this Thursday, January 5 in Detroit, Michigan and will finish in Amherst, Massachusetts.
