Skrillex—The LA Takeover Tour

Sonny Moore, I applaud your ability to create total mayhem in the city of angels within a week. The poster boy of dubstep (not an insult) is literally playing every venue existing in the city for his five-day LA Takeover Tour. Yeah—I think he’s an overachiever too. Any who, the madness kicked off at Cinespace in Hollywood with Alvin Risk, (whose on the bill for Steve Aoki’s Deadmeat Tour) and Koan Sound. Yesterday, Check Yo Ponytail hosted Skrillex at the Echoplex (stay tuned for more from us on that), the smallest venue of the bunch, with Diplo and a special versus set with 12th Planet and Caspa. Tonight, Insomniac is hosting Moore at Exchange LA in Downtown with Zedd (who recently released the official music video for his track “Slam the Door”) and Child in Disguise. On Friday, he’ll invade Control at the Avalon with Kill the Noise and Huoratron—I’ll be there. Saturday, the Palladium in Hollywood will tremble to the bass and glitch attacks with special guest Araabmuzik, Koan Sound and Munchi. Finally, the final show down of the tour is at L.A. Live with Benga, Nadastrom and kick the epic mothafu*ka’s Dada Life. Whew! That is a heavyweight line-up for just five days. Only concern, what happened to Dillon Francis and Porter Robinson, if Francis or Robinson were on the bill—this tour would be magical but their not, sad face.

As of now, all shows but one are SOLD OUT! The pre-sale tickets for Control at the Avalon are already in the possession of there owners but tickets will be sold at the doors starting at 9:30 pm. Note there will be a limited amount of tickets, so don’t attack people if you don’t get tickets. It’s all right—life will go one, Skrillex tours all year. He’ll be back. For those who are attending, have fun!
