Laidback Luke is preparing a heavy assault on North America this Spring that caps off Wednesday. Of course his long-anticipated single "Speak Up" with NYC-based vocalist Wynter Gordon comes just in time, releasing exclusively on Beatport March 12 through Mixmash/Big Beat Records. This comes just weeks after a hot release with some French house legends that has made its way towards the top of the charts on his own Mixmash imprint with Laidback Luke, Arno Cost and Norman Doray "Trilogy."
A talented vocalist indeed, Wynter Gordon was thrown into the spotlight in the electronic dance scene a year and a half ago with Laidback Luke's ever-popular remix of her "Dirty Talk" that was a dancefloor champion. Then again with Steve Aoki on "Ladi Dadi" featured on Aoki's Wonderland album. Now the wait is over with "Speak Up," the next collaboration from Laidback Luke and Wynter Gordon just in time for WMC and his North American tour in which he will tackle playing dates like Ultra Music Festival to small venues in college towns. We got our hands on a preview of the track for you to check out. With tantalizing vocals as expected from Gordon, and a catchy beat and Laidback Luke-esque breakdown we are quite familiar with, this is another winning formula. You will also find some teaser images from the music video which drops soon in the preview!
From our experience with the Dutch House master, trust us on some things not to miss out on:
* Super You & Me
Laidback Luke brings his exquisite Super You & Me party brand to the states with two special shows at Palladium in Hollywood and LIV in Miami for Music Week. With the dress code being super hero attire and a superstar lineup curated by Laidback himself, these bashes are sure not to disappoint. Hot commodity Zedd, Congorock and GTA are support in LA while French teen phenom Madeon, Zedd and Oliver Twizt are support in Miami. Skrillex was support last year in Miami…that was special.
* Mixmash Pool Party
Laidback Luke will be joined by some of his favorite acts at his Mixmash Pool Party at the National Hotel Thursday March 22 during Miami Music Week. This should be called Laidback Luke Day. Line up: Laidback Luke, Angger Dimas, Austin Leeds, Delivio Reavon & Aaron Gill, Dyro & Loopers, Felix Cartal, Jaz Von D, La Fuente, Sander Van Doorn, Sandro Silva, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Swanky Tunes, Tommy Trash + special guest!
