Is Tropical Is Bringing Their Bass Heavy, Beat Driven, Pop-Influenced Lo-Fi Dance Sound Back To North America

I’ve been looking forward to seeing the English trio Is Tropical live in person since their debut album, Native To came out on Kitsuné last year in June. Their video for “The Greeks” is a kid’s dream come true, what boy didn’t imagine all that while they were killing their pals in a friendly game of war. It’s what was bouncing around my head at least. I imagine their video for Moonlight Matters’ remix of “The Greeks” does a bit of the same for the older set. Oh yea, Is Tropical just announced that they’re returning to North America in May and June in support of Crystal Fighters. Dates below. He’s a little clip of a gig in Milan. Looks like a good time to me.

They’re also getting ready to release “P.S. We Love You,” a remix EP featuring re-works of songs taken from previously mentioned album. The EP comes out on May 22 via Kitsuné / Cooperative Music and features remixes from Breton and Juveniles among others.
