Every time I come across a Boiler Room link I always tell myself that i'm going to remember these guys, i'm going to come back—it's good shit. It's almost as awesome as a monkey wearing a tuxedo made out of bacon riding a cyborg unicorn with a light saber for the horn riding on the tip of a space shuttle closing in on Mars while engulfed in flames. In case you didn’t know, that’s pretty dang sweet. That is if you like the idea of DJ mixes by badass talent playing in secret sonic bunkers located at various spots around the world and recorded on video for you to watch. I do. It's basically a 21st Century spin on UK pirate radio. Boiler Room itself has been around for a minute, but the TV side of the things kicked off in March of last year.
I found this gem via The Daily Swarm this mooring, so a tip of the hat to the folks over there for reminding me once again about the Boiler Room. It's the heroic James Murphy playing some of his favorite records. Being able to watch this video underlines the fact that it's times like these that we lose any kind of self control and turn into screaming, adoring fans. Losing your cool is cool sometimes. Watch the video. Or not.
