The lo-fi legend that is

Chelonis R. Jones

The Prison Buffet

This marks Jones' fourth full-length album and his second release on Systematic Recordings. Standout tracks include “Pinwheel Piaf” and “Love Needs An Invoice,” with both demonstrating Jones' heightened awareness of the mechanics of great song writing. The latter is a slow build with some neatly controlled dynamics, an electro-pop delight that is just rough enough around the edges. It's delicious. His new material feels even more raw and personal than his previous offerings, a gamble that has unequivocally paid off on this album.

Never Say Die smacks of true grit and determination

And they’ve got an equally powerful soundtrack to back it up...that is if you like your dubstep with swaths of breakbeat, electro and drum & bass. Two years in and Never Say Die have proved their musical might. From the influential Freestylers to trailblazing Grammy winner Skrillex, from glamorous chanteuse Belle Humble to grime Godfathers Foreign Beggars, SKisM, Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Zomboy…Their sonic EDM culture army bulges with beatmongers. Their double-disc debut compilation, aptly titled Never Say Die will be out May 28.

J Boogie returns for the final single from his “Undercover” album with a tropical burner for the summer

“El Ritmo” is its name and is out now on house music imprint Om Records. If you’re a in the mood for a carnival ride through the Cumbia sounds of Bang Data, featuring bi-lingual spits from Deuce Eclipse try this one. The DJ Sabo remix heads into Moombahton territory for a romp in the club. Sabo is the creator of the Sol Selectas and Moombahton Massive series. He’s been running with Mad Decent, Dave Nada, Munchi and several other Moombahton selectors as of late.

joins the ranks of the

army for their 11th mix

A mere 10 years old, Watergate has steadfastly become one of the world's most prominent EDM culture institutions. This is due in no small part to its heady combination of picturesque location—its dancefloors face directly out onto the river Spree—a wall-to-wall LED light installation and its impeccable music policy, with the cream of the electronic crop passing through its doors every week.

The mix CD series is now in its eleventh incarnation (previous artists have included the likes of Tiefschwarz, Ellen Allien, Sascha Funke and dOP, amongst others), and we’re really looking forward to hearing what Croatian-born, man-of-the-moment Mladen Solomun does with it.

This mixtape aims to show the world what music helped us build ourselves as music producers. It's all about a loooooooong journey deep into our most obscure memories, our present crushes, everything that led us to our very first single. Nice to meet y'all.”
