Richie Hawtin To Start His First Solo Ibiza Residency - Enter. At Space On Thursdays

Richie has a long history with the While Isle thanks to his association with Sven Väth’s Cocoon creation at Amnesia but he is now going to make his own statement on the island, inviting M-NUS artists, friends and collaborators to play alongside him each and every Thursday for a run of 12 weeks (July 5 to September 20).

Being Richie Hawtin, the night will have a strong focus on cutting-edge technology, including interactive installations of the transformed Sunset Terrace—now titled, ENTER.Interakt. It will also include the islands’ first true Sake bar experience. Expect some big EDM culture surprises along the way—the lineups will be revealed very soon...

Richie Hawtin states:

After an incredible and life-defining relationship with Sven and the Cocoon family on the island, I felt the time was right to develop my own vision on what an Ibiza experience might be. Ibiza is a destination for people from all walks of life looking to escape and celebrate. This year we will give people an entry into a world that connects many of the things that I love: music, technology, Japanese sake, art, entertainment and design. As Ibiza is a crossroads of people from all over the world, ENTER. will be a crossroads of experiences!

Andrew Weatherall hit the nail on the head when he recently stated on BBC 6 Music that Luke Solomon is the “unsung hero of British house music.” The long-standing house music producer, label boss, A&R man, DJ and live performer, engineer has been a fixture on the house scene for decades. Luke’s Classic label, run with Chicago house music legend Derrick Carter, has also been responsible for a plethora of seminal and idiosyncratic house cuts and has now been revived to a rapturous reception. Look for the appropriately titled new mix “Cutting Edge” in physical format on July 7.
