Sensation America Coming to Brooklyn

A historical announcement was formally made last night in New York City; Sensation America is coming to Brooklyn. On Friday October 26 and Saturday October 27 the preeminent experience in dance music will be making a two night stop at the soon-to-be-opened Barclays Center in Brooklyn (future home of the Brooklyn Nets). This is not a two-day event, but rather the same event back-to-back because of the presumed high demand for the storied touring extravaganza.

Sensation has partnered with Live Nation for the American leg of their tour, an entity which is becoming more omnipresent in the EDM event scene—probably because of the profitability, but that’s another story for another time. The 21+ event is also being presented by yet another corporate giant—Bud Light Platinum. I’m curious to see if things will change once corporations start handing out sponsorships for events that barely made Facebook a few years ago.

No artists were announced last night, but according to Sensation CEO, Duncan Stutterheim they will be announced “a month to two months prior.” Ticket prices will range from $150 to $250 for a “deluxe” package and will go on sale June 8 at 12 pm EST. There will also be travel packages available to those making the trek to the borough. Make sure to become a club member here before June 4 to be eligible for a special pre-sale. If you’re sick of 18 year olds running around like chickens with their heads cut off this event is right up your ally.
