Between the smog and abundance of artificial light that is projected from Los Angeles, I don’t get too many opportunities to see the stars. I like stars. Who doesn’t appreciate the spectacular view of a starry sky? To solve this problem I can either stop being a city boy and move to country. OR. Event better. I can construct a giant disco ball from 1000 mirrors and suspend it from a crane 100 plus feet above the ground and give everyone in my neighborhood a night to remember. That’s what artist Michel de Broin did a few years back over Paris.
I came across this gigantic disco-ball art project via We Make Money Not Art. They have a great interview with Broin about his work. Check it out if you get a second.
