I like rooftop gardens. They are, like, one of the best things in the known universe. Throw some top class electronic music, a Jamaican BBQ and live graffiti in the mix under the gaze of the elusive British sun and you have got yourself one hell of a Saturday summer soiree.
A soiree that takes place on 4 August at the quaint Dalston Roof Park. Which all sounds well and good, but amidst the fumes of the sizzling jerk chicken and in between the lashings of spray-paint there is even more good times ahead. Good times in the form of 2econd Class Citizen taking you on a captivating musical journey through his back catalogue all the way through to tracks from his hotly tipped new album The Small Minority all under the starry midnight sky.
If you like The Cinematic Orchestra and Massive Attack then you’re going to love Polaroid 85, the next artist playing at the Roof Park. With a load of festival appearances under their belt, their live performance has rapidly evolved as of late as well as their sound and I can’t think of a better place for the up-an-comers to showcase their original and refined tunes than 70 feet above ground.
The Roof Park will also be a host to Dalston local outfit Detour City not to mention the ever reliable Soundcrash resident DJs will be there to lend a musical hand into the night’s proceedings.
