Did you take wood shop in high school? I sucked. Apparently Seattle-based design Jeff Skierka didn't. Check out this coffee table he made, a 12:1 scaled replica of a cassette tape. A five year obsession, Skierka made it from reclaimed maple, walnut and lucite. It's his first prototype and a one of a kind. Future versions will be CNC machined out of high grade plywood with a variety of ply combinations and a glass top. No word as to when it'll go into production, but it's being worked on right now.
