Can't even include LMFAO on my guilty pleasures list. Shit just never sat right, they're basically EDM culture's 2012 equivalent of "Weird Al" Yankovic. So hearing the news that Redfoo and Sky Blu will no longer be party rocking together on stage was a nice surprise. Well, they're at least taking a break from each other to work on their own things.
"I feel like we've been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we're kind of like saying, well, let's just do what's natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time," Redfoo, 37, explained in a phone interview earlier this week to News in Australia.
Unfortunately, the article goes on to say that Redfoo's solo material won't be straying far from hits like "Sexy and I Know It" and "Party Rock Anthem."
"All the music that I'm going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish…I love all the topics that we talk about," he said.
I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music.
Awesome. And by awesome we mean ugh. You can read the full article here.
