If You Like Avicii, You Should Definitely Check Out Fellow Swede, Jacob Liedholm And Archie V From Moscow

Tim Bergling, known simply as Avicii, is one of those names in EDM culture’s world that garners heaps of attention. Kid can rock a crowd, which he proves over and over with one catchy big room banger after another. Huge leads, driving bass kicks and infectious melodies are his weapons of choice and he uses those anthemic ingredients like a musical virus gone wild. For all the attention Avicii receives for each new piece of new electronic music, he’s not the only talent that is deserving of your time. Below are a few up and comers that will surely treat any Avicii fan right. Names we’re happy to shine a spotlight on.

Jacob Liedholm

First on the list is 16-year-old and fellow Swede, Jacob Liedholm. Nope, this is not a typo; he is actually 16—not even old enough to get into a club. A musical prodigy of sorts, Liedholm has already caught the attention and support of many big names in electronic music like Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and fellow rising star Nicky Romero just to name a few. His first single “Swede Love” was recently released by Sony UK as well as premiering on Pete Tong’s show. Here are some bootlegs and official remixes we pulled off his Soundcloud page.

Archie V

From Moscow, Russia I present Erik Taylor who goes by the name Archie V. Little is known about this progressive house mastermind but one thing is certain, he is releasing track after track of beautiful uplifting melodies that are sure to get you pumped on those drives to a club with your friends. When you listen to some of the tracks posted on his Soundcloud, you will see that he brings stadium-sized synths and uplifting melodies to give you that Swedish feel. His track “Feathers” was recently released with New York resident Fareoh on both their Soundcloud pages.
