It’s that time of year again—time to start planning for New Years Eve. Some diehards may have started planning January 2, but for those of you that waited, MCP Presents has planned a nice three-day festival packed with plenty of heavy hitters. Lights All Night (that name can use some work) will be a three-day NYE dance festival taking place at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, per their website. EDM culture festivities will commence December 29 and will probably end sometime during the early morning hours on January 1, 2013.
Many of you may not have heard of MCP Presents. According to their Facebook page they are the group that has put on Camp Bisco starting from the 4thyear and have put on numerous events in the southeastern US. In addition to Lights All Night, they are putting on the Counterpoint Festival in Atlanta, which has a very venerable lineup, as well.
This lineup is out of control. 72 percent of the artists on the bill have the skills to be the headliner at any festival around the world—I did the math. In my opinion, Camp has nothing on this. I will leave you with this: Tiesto, Zedd, Markus Schulz, Feed Me, Rhythm Monks, Flux Pavilion, Madeon, Mord Fustang, A-Trak, Bassnectar, Tommy Trash, Gareth Emery, Bingo Players, Ghostland Observatory, Diplo, Sander Van Doorn, Break Science and Axwell.
Tickets are on sale now and are a very affordable $185. They even have a spot on their website where you can be part of their “street team,” if you’re into that sort of thing.
