There’s something special happening at the Avalon Hollywood next Wednesday night, October 10th, 2012. It’s called Beats for Boobs, and the event is something you’re not going to want to skip out on.
It will be Beats for Boobs’ second year in Los Angeles, and they’ve got a night planned filled with some of the very best in art, fashion, food, and of course, music. The all-volunteer organization has been around for nine full years, uniting a diverse group of artists and activists to honor and remember people impacted by breast cancer. In other words, they are the epitome of advocacy through art and community involvement. They have specially crafted a night featuring local DJs Marques Wyatt of Deep fame, the legendary Mr. C who's now doing the Superfreq parties in LA, Justin Sloe from the Droog/Culprit familia, Jeniluv from Making Shapes and our pal Jimmy Maheras of Plastic Love. The night will also feature artists, fashion designers and culinary masterminds for our enjoyment. And it's all going down at one of Hollywood’s most historic landmarks, the Avalon. And like we said before, you’re not going to want to miss out on this. Plus it's for a damn good cause, which is never a bad thing.
