We all know Twitter is an information Mecca, with 5oo million active users all over the world it’s pretty much outdone most forms of communication. Up until this time, however, Twitter’s content has been mostly grounded in words and links. Well, that’s about to change: New York-based digital studio Believe Entertainment Group has announced the first originated content series designed for the Twitter platform. They are set to introduce a new show called EpicEDM, a show about none-other than electric dance music. That’s right EDM culture fans, the show will be featuring well-known DJs like Tiësto and deadmau5 and it will be serving up new videos each week to be embedded on Twitter’s platform.
“This is a conscious shift from using Twitter as a promotional platform to having Twitter just be the platform,” says BE Group co-founder Dan Goodman. “If there is way to integrate video and social onto the actual delivery platform, it's a huge win long-term.”
