Music Review: Zedd “Clarity” via Interscope Records

New electronic music here. If you’ve been waiting for Zedd’s album, the wait is over. The 10-track album Clarity includes the hit song “Spectrum” as well as other soon to be EDM culture anthems that feature an array of noteworthy vocalist including Ellie Goulding (“Lights”) and Ryan Tedder (Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso “Calling”). The album begins with “Hourglass” featuring LIZ, its lounge-like and seductive vocals will draw you in just to catch you off guard with its massive drop; this is a great introduction song and preview to the rest of the album.

Fourth on the album is “Lost at Sea” featuring the vocals of Ryan Tedder. The track is an up-beat progressive house composition similar to that of Calvin Harris. The vocals are great and this is a song that will be sure to put a smile on your face.

Next up is the title track, “Clarity,” and to say this song is amazing is an understatement. This is a track that incorporates everything you loved about “Spectrum” and cranks it up some notches, focusing more on the beautiful vocals of London vocalist Foxes; this one is so good you’ll wish it was longer and what better way to hear it then to download it for FREE! That’s right; the single “Clarity” is free via Itunes here. Hurry and get it fast! Also, make sure to thank FOXES, @iamfoxes, and ZEDD, @ZEDD, via Twitter for providing such a beautiful piece of music.

ZEDD teams up with Lucky Date and Ellie Goulding to bring you “Fall Into Sky,” unlike the other tracks on the album that feature vocals, this one is an electro banger centered around a heavy bassline drop that will make your subs dance.

If you enjoy chill songs with female vocals then “Follow You Down” is right up your alley. Bright Lights and ZEDD deliver one hell of a track. This is one of those songs that can suit almost every occasion whether it is cruising late nights, doing homework, or even dancing at a music festival. This album is worth every penny! Go download the single “Clarity” right now on Itunes, if you love it then purchase the album, it doesn’t disappoint.
