New electronic music here. Absolutely crazy to think that "Muzik Xpress" is a 20-year-old tune. Originally released in 1992, the X-Press 2 classic was one of the reason why I dove headfirst into all things EDM culture. And for that I tip my hat to Diesel, Rocky and Ashley Beedle (that's X-Press 2—Ashley Beedle is no longer involved in the project). In celebration of the 20 year mark, Skint Records just released the seminal tune with a special anniversary remix from Nicole Moudaber (originally done in 2008, but never released) and a new 2012 remix from Eats Everything. Both give the tune a new direction and will hopefully provide a new generation of EDM culture fans the opportunity to appreciate one of the finest house tunes from the '90s.
When asked about the remix, Moudaber reminisced,
I was just starting to produce, dabble and discover this world. I was approached by the label manager back then, I knew him from London and he played at my parties a few times. I delivered the mix, even got paid for it but it never saw the light, maybe because my name didnt mean much back then. They heard it recently by mistake on a random hard drive they found at the Skint Office, and Im very pleased it will finally get released.
