My Digital Enemy: Top 5 Songs I Can’t Live Without

My Digital Enemy: Top 5 Songs I Can’t Live Without

We just started to dig into the Brighton duo My Digital Enemy and are loving everything we're hearing. Not complete strangers, they popped back up on our radar about a month ago when Roger Sanchez featured the two as a guest on his "Release Yourself" podcast. Their mix was great stuff from start to finish. If you haven't heard the mix you can download it for free below. It put us in exploration mode. They recently released three new singles: “New Sensation” on their own Zulu Records, “Revelation” on Toolroom and “Lattitude” with Matteo DiMarr on Hotfingers.

Some other favorites of ours:

My Digital Enemy & Rob Marmot "African Drop"
My Digital Enemy & Jason Chance "Got To Be Strong"
Gotye Ft. Kimbra "Somebody I Used To Know" (Prok & Fitch Vs My Digital Enemy Bootleg)
Carl Hanaghan & My Digital Enemy "We Are One"
My Digital Enemy "Reaper"
Alter Ego "Rocker" (Prok & Fitch vs. My Digital Enemy Remix)

1. Prodigy "Firestarter"

We both love the Prodigy. They were one of our main musical inspirations right from their first album Experience. Firestarter was the track that saw them break from the UK Rave scene and go global. One of the best tracks ever.

2. Energy 52 "Café del Mar"

The biggest track from our first year in Ibiza. Happy memories and a transitional movement where we started following dance music more than rock.

3. Nine Inch Nails "Closer"

Recommended Articles

Trent Rezner from Nine Inch Nails is a true pioneer was combining rock and electronic beats in a way no one else had thought of. We love the rawness of his early work.

4. Roger Sanchez "Another Chance"

Lovely mellow house track. They certainly don’t make them like this anymore. Reminds us of good times with friends who are no longer around.

5. Daft Punk "Da Funk"

I just remember seeing the video for this and thinking WTF a dog walking around that’s crazy. This was our first taste of French house. Love the rawness of the production. Came close to including one of the newer Daft Punk tracks but this is where it all started so it deserves its place!
