Classixx Announce Debut Album "Hanging Gardens"

It's been a long time coming, but we're all pretty excited to know that the first full length record from Classixx is just around the corner. The album, titled "Hanging Gardens," will be out on May 14th via Innovative Leisure, and independent label from Los Angeles that you should all support. Since the 2009 breakout Classixx single "I'll Get You," the pair has remixed everyone from Mayer Hawthorne to Major Lazer, Phoenix to YACHT and countless others. Known for bringing a slice of summer wherever they go, Classixx have been recognized over the years for carrying the "LA sound," which clearly isn't a bad thing. Over the course of the last two years, childhood friends Michael David and Tyler Blake have spent countless hours in the studio with a variety of instruments crafting the 12 pop-infused dance tunes that have become "Hanging Gardens." It features collaborations with Active Child, Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids, Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, and Jeppe. This debut packs airy tracks with touches of the Pacific coast that are destined to become summer anthems. If you tuned into their recent Boiler Room session, you definitely know what we're talking about. And if you didn't hear that mix, well then you'll have to sit tight until May. You already know the wait has been worth it though! Stream the first single below, which you may recognize from being heard from top DJs over the summer or perhaps one of The Magician's magic tapes.
