For fans of real house, disco, left-field techno, etc, you're in for a treat once again. Magnetic's own Far Away radio show / podcast series is bringing in another party for early March and we couldn't be more excited to announce. Moving out of the dark warehouse district of downtown Los Angeles, Far Away will be hosting a special club edition of the party at Los Globos in Silverlake.
"Easy listening superstar Jimmy Buffett famously sang, “Beautiful swimmers stay in the groove” – a rallying cry today’s Beautiful Swimmers fully get behind. Finding that sweet spot between disco, classic house and 70's rock and funk, Ari Gordon and Andrew Field-Pickering produce and DJ easygoing jams and edits perfect for your pool party, summer camp make-out sesh or full-moon beach extravaganza – releasing many of them on their own Future Times label. Along with friends like Steve Summers and Ron Morelli of the L.I.E.S. imprint, they’re putting down roots for a new gen East Coast house scene, one that’s obsessed with classic labels like NuGroove, Trax, Underground Resistance and Prelude – making them the perfect people to ask for a countdown of hot grooves."
The lineup also features Turntable Lab's Bo Hebert going back-to-back with local vinyl collector Michael Ammann and Friends Of Friends' Julian Schoen and Jen Ferrer going back-t0-back as well. And of course, resident Cooper Saver will be on the decks too. This will be a fine night of quality vinyl records and dancing, what more do you need?
