Skrillex, Zedd, Sebastian Ingrosso and Baauer x Cirque du Soleil—New Residencies At New Vegas Nightclub, LIGHT

There is a brand spankin-new nightclub set to open in Vegas on the 26th of April. Given this past year's happenings in the music and dance world it was only going to be a matter of time before something new popped out of Las Vegas' inner sanctum. Well, this is certainly new, and it's coming with a pretty epic arsenal of names to boot. The new club will be named LIGHT, and it'll be Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino's new baby. Here's where it gets all kinds of sexy: four powerhouse DJs will take their places as the 2013 spring residents. Those four DJs are Skrillex, Zedd, Sebastian Ingrosso and Baauer.

Now from what The Rolling Stone is reporting, each act will be designing their own show with Cirque du Soleil during their particular nights, and each show will be different. Because of the flexibility of the space and the resident DJs' partnerships with Cirque and Moment Factory, the production company behind the venue, each residency is intended to integrate different visuals and project separate atmospheres. Skrillex has said that he hopes to create something unique, adding that the LIGHT show will be in Vegas only. He's also stated that he's a little iffy on the incorporation of the whole Cirque du Soleil contortionist situation.

For me, personally, the objective is to have something based around your music and something you want to dance to, not something you want to stare at the whole time. But how do you make the environment completely immersive? I think thats the goal for my show, at least...The cool thing is, Zedds show is gonna be different than mine; Alessos show is gonna be different than Baauers, Skrillex adds. Im getting in with these guys on a personal level; were designing something that fits the club – and thats whats cool about LIGHT, too. Every show is gonna feel like a whole different experience.
