Well this really isn't a "Want" as of today… I finally scored a pair of TMA-1s and all the hype I've been hearing about this brand is finally hitting home. Looks wise, I've been in love since the first day I came across the company. No doubt about it, the Danish know a thing or two when it comes to form and function. There's not many other headphone brands, IMO, on the same level as AIAIAI—especially for the price. More importantly the TMA-1 are super comfortable and sound even better than they look.
I'm by no means a nerdy sound guru that reviews headphones for a living, so I'm not even going to try and go into the sorta detail you get from Cnet and the like. I can say that I have a pair of Tracks HD by SOL that I typically use for computer and iPod listening and have been DJing with a pair of Audio-Technica headphones for a few years now and have officially hung both of those up for the TMA-1s. The bass, the mids and the highs all sound better compared to what I was using a few days ago. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to buy with my Beatport voucher that came with these.
Absolutely zero weight towards the purchase of this product, but I really love the fact that the TMA-1 name is inspired by Arthur C Clark's Space Odyssey series—specifically the Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-1.
